Milwaukee MA883 Digital Refractometer °Baumé

The Milwaukee MA883 digital °Baumé refractometer is temperature compensated with a 0 to 28 °Baumé range and ±0.1% °Baumé accuracy. It is easy to use with simple two button operation and fast with a response time under 2 seconds. 

Maintenance is also a breeze with an easy-to-clean sealed flint glass prism and stainless steel well.  The MA883 eliminates the uncertainty of optical refractometers by providing an accurate digital readout.

Those in food and beverage, from chefs and food quality professionals to brewers and wine makers, have moved to digital °Baumé measurement from less accurate and less precise optical refractometers.

  • MA883 converts the Brix readings to °Baumé based on the table found in the Official Methods of Analysis of AOAC International, 18Th Edition
  • 1 °Baumé is approximately equal to 1.8% Brix and roughly equivalent to 1% alcohol when wine is fully fermented
