Landmark Set

This MAGFORMERS® Set allows for multi-faceted learning about geography through hands-on creative construction of famous landmarks.

With the MAGFORMERS® Landmark Set, children don’t just learn about the geography of the World in theory, they get to build 10 important landmarks around the World using colourful magnetic shapes:

So, in addition to the usual educational benefits of MAGFORMERS®, which are now well recognised, children are adding geography to the multitude of skills being developed while having fun and playing with MAGFORMERS®.

The Set comes with a model booklet which includes a fun and easily digestible world map, showing the above landmarks. The booklet also gives children guidance on how to build the 10 landmarks above, but with 100 pieces and 13 different shapes in the set, children can continue to build with MAGFORMERS® by recreating other landmarks, or anything else their imagination allows, without the guide of the model booklet, by using the unique combination of shapes in this set!

Because MAGFORMERS® pieces are so easy to handle and build with, children are always happy to “give it a go” and just get into building something, anything, without feeling intimidated by the complexity of some other building toys. Also, by building their very own MAGFORMERS® version of those landmarks, children are learning about how geometric shapes come together to form an object.

As with all MAGFORMERS® booklets, the idea is for the child to work out how to build the model by looking at the guided ‘stages’, rather than following ‘step by step’ instructions. This trains the child to think about the shapes and number of pieces involved in making the model. Importantly, it also requires the child to develop rotational skills, by trying to work out which shapes would be on the unseen side.

This is a really fun, unique construction set that is fully compatible with other MAGFORMERS® sets. The landmark theme is integrated throughout this entire set with fantastic colours and illustrations, and the many builds will keep kids busy and entertained, whilst fostering brain development, motor skills, and general exploration! The pieces are highly durable, and children can also use the pieces to build whatever their imagination permits (including planes, buildings or other structures, houses, balls, cubes, geometric shapes…the possibilities are limited only by imagination)!
